Activities

Besides the running competitions we take part in, our association dedicates an important part of its activity to volunteering at various events, fundraising, plogging and clean-up activities, as well as promoting the areas of Vâlcea County with tourist potential.

In addition, the members of Trail Ghosts Valcea regularly organise group runs and free training sessions open to runners in the city, where they share their common passion for running. Together with the help of club members, supporters, participants and partners, we work hard to fulfil our mission of giving people in our community a reason to run.

Highlights

In 2020, our team took part in the Autism24h ultramarathon, whose main purpose was to raise funds for children with autism at the Centrul terapeutic Marea Neagra therapy centre, while also supporting Asociatia Viitorul incepe Ieri (an association founded by parents of children with autism in Ramnicu Valcea); through our own donations and those of other kind-hearted people we raised more than 30000 lei.

Over time we have taken part in volunteering activities, plogging and clean-up campaigns (see here) and fundraising campaigns for people with disabilities (references about us on Fundația Rafael).

Campaign to raise the money needed to pay for the meals of the Grătar family's children, enrolled in the Step by Step Educational Alternative of state pre-university education. (see here)
